Boundaries

Some say boundaries let us know where to stop. Some say boundaries are just limitations we draw around us. Some say boundaries exist just to guide us. Some say boundaries divide us. Some say boundaries let us know where we are. Some say boundaries stop us from moving ahead. Some say go beyond boundaries. Some say never cross the boundaries.

I was taught we should always respect ones’ boundaries. More over it we are also expected to know those boundaries. All this made sense until they themselves forget about boundaries. Hope I was also taught to draw boundaries and try to respect them rather than expecting others to do so. Hope I was taught to step beyond it when I felt it was necessary. Hope I was taught boundaries are just on a map to protect a country and not to imprison a person. Hope I realize that instead of thinking about other people I would have put myself first. Hope I realize that being thoughtful was more important than being in and evaluating boundaries.

May be being within boundaries might protect us, but there might be something that we are missing out. May be protecting ourself is good, but standing even after we fall is what makes us live. May be life within boundaries is harmless, but life beyond it might be beautiful. May be we feel safe within boundaries, but exploring might give us confidence and peace. May be boundaries are drawn to unite people together, but people outside the boundaries might be friendly too. May be being within boundaries and living beyond it might make life mesmerising.
